At BrightSpring®, we believe that everything we do, every service we provide, should not only benefit our clients, but also their communities.
That is why all our operations are actively involved in community service projects. In 1999, during the company’s 25th anniversary, we launched the Community Service Challenge, which challenges each operation to participate in at least 10 community service projects annually. Top-performing operations receive special recognition and a plaque that can be displayed at their offices. The challenge has grown consistently since its creation with more operations meeting the challenge year over year.
We encourage our community service teams to include both our employees and the people we support, who gain a valuable opportunity to grow by interacting with their communities to help others. Community service also gives the public a positive representation of the people we serve, whether they are individuals with disabilities, aging seniors or at-risk youth.
Special Olympics. BrightSpring also has a longstanding commitment to our local Special Olympics organizations. The company is now the presenting sponsor of Special Olympics fundraisers in six states (Kentucky, Texas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, West Virginia and Indiana) with plans to continue expanding our involvement.
BrightSpring Hospice Foundation
Formed in 2016, the BrightSpring Hospice Foundation was created to assist hospice patients and their families with essential non-hospice support that they are unable to otherwise afford. Since its creation, the Foundation has assisted families with expenditures for end-of-life needs beyond the limitations of hospice services that have included cremations/funeral services of patients, comfort care and personal items for patients, home care and sitting services, and even reuniting families for a final visit.
We strongly believe in helping the communities we serve, so we made it a vital part of our Mission Statement.
Making a difference in people’s lives and communities.
