On Sunday, Aug. 11, BrightSpring Health Services was proud to host a “Special Olympics of Kentucky (SOKY) Day” at a Louisville City FC soccer game. The SOKY athletes from the Wizards soccer team were able to attend the game, receive a Louisville City goodie bag and go onto the field at halftime with a video and PA announcement!
BrightSpring is honored to partner with Louisville City FC and help give each of the athletes in attendance an unforgettable experience. Despite the extreme heat, everyone had a great time!
Upcoming SOKY Event: UPS Plane Pull, Presented by BrightSpring
The UPS Plane Pull, presented by BrightSpring, benefits SOKY and the 8,900 athletes across the state of Kentucky. During the event, teams of 20 take turns to see who can pull an 124,000-pound UPS Boeing 757 cargo plane 12-feet in the shortest amount of time.
The UPS Plane Pull, presented by BrightSpring, is Saturday, Sept. 21, at the UPS Worldport in Louisville, Kentucky. Last year, BrightSpring raised a total of $22,700 for the event, earning the “Top Fundraising Team” title.
This year will be BrightSpring’s 13th consecutive year as the presenting sponsor of the UPS Plane Pull, and the second year sponsoring with the BrightSpring Health Services name.
