Kentucky Safe Alternative Family Environment (KY S.A.F.E.), one of the state’s largest providers of family and youth services, has announced the organization will now do business as StepStone Family & Youth Services.
As part of a national network of family and youth services agencies, KY S.A.F.E. has provided therapeutic foster care services for more than 20 years. The name change to StepStone Family & Youth Services establishes a common, national brand for the family and youth services network, with agencies across the country. The new name represents the network’s commitment to helping families and youth in safe environments, where they can thrive. StepStone reinforces that one step can change a life.
“Children and youth need a safe place they can call home. And families need strong support too. That’s why StepStone is here,” said Jeffrey Hardin, Kentucky executive director of family and youth services. “While our name is changing, we’re still supporting youth and families in safe environments where they can thrive.”
As a member of the BrightSpring Health Services family of brands, StepStone’s services include prospective foster parent training, foster care support services, training for young adults, youth residential services, family and youth services, respite care and counseling. StepStone currently offers care and support for families in 11 states.
