ResCare Community Living Direct Support Professional Jessica Smith has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Princeton, WV.
Jessica goes out of her way to make sure that her coworkers are celebrated and appreciated. QIDP and Clinical Supervisor Donald Fletcher says, “She leads the charge to make people feel special.” In October, Jessica and her team held a surprise baby shower for a coworker whose previous shower had been cancelled. It was important to Jessica that her coworker was able to have this special memory. Additionally, on a coworker’s recent birthday, Jessica showed initiative and held a small party for employees with a cake she baked herself.
While celebrating her teammates, Jessica still gives her all to the people she supports. Donald says, “I have worked with Jessica for nearly a year and a half and she will always reach out and suggest adaptive equipment or anything else beneficial to the clients, staff, or professionals.” Jessica is a consistent and persistent advocate, working towards the best for others every day.
Jessica’s drive and passion shine through in every aspect of her life – from her daily work with clients and teammates to caring for her large family. She is a hard worker, diligent caregiver, and valued member of the Princeton team.
Jessica, being YOU and setting an example raises the bar for everyone around you. Your level of care and empathy for others is unique and greatly appreciated.
