ResCare Community Living Direct Support Professional Jonathan DiGuiseppi has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Whiting, NJ.
On September 13, Jonathan was recognized by the New Jersey Association of Community Providers (NJACP) as one of their 2024 Hero Award recipients.
After joining ResCare in 2023, Jonathan quickly became a loving, trusted mentor and friend to the men who reside at the program where he works in Monmouth County. He is affectionately known by them as “Santa Claus” due to the beard he sports and the jolliness he brings to their lives daily.
While a search was underway to fill the Residential Manager role, the administrative team relied on Jonathan to assist with scheduling, maintaining medical appointments, and keeping the home in licensing-ready condition. Always ready to lend a hand, Jonathan played an integral role in maintaining quality at the home during this interim period. He always has a kind word to say; he is polite, professional, and said to have a heart as big as Santa’s.
Jonathan is committed to ensuring his time spent with those he supports is beneficial to all and brings positive meaning to their lives. Due to the effort he puts in each day, Jonathan is deeply loved by the men in the home and respected by his coworkers and administration.
